The Transition From eBenefits to VA.GOV
When you login to eBenefits, the VA is highly encouraging all veterans to file a claim on the VA.Gov website.
For those of us who frequent this website on a regular basis, we can all agree that the system has its flaws. However, we work with what we have and make the best of it.
The time has come for change and the VA has done a fantastic job with their latest upgraded version. Alright, fantastic might be a stretch but it does provide an updated look and a better user-friendly feel. Once you take it for a spin you’ll agree that it’s a smoother ride than what we’ve been working with for years.
The system is not open for first-time users but available for everyone else to include veterans who fall into the annuitant and veteran category. eBenefits will not allow veterans in this position to virtually file a claim but VA.GOV will honor the request.
We don’t know the lifespan of eBenefits as this could be a longer relationship than I’d prefer but I like to take a proactive approach instead of playing catchup when the time comes to transition from one platform to the next.
I’ve provided a brief slideshow so that you can get an inside glimpse of what the platform looks like and the capabilities it has to offer, enjoy!
